Tilt, height, and oscillation solve different problems
Tilt lets you set a fixed direction. A low drum fan can point up toward a work zone; an elevated pedestal can point down or across it. That adjustment is valuable only if the head can be safely set where the stream helps the intended task.
Height changes the path before the air meets an obstacle. A pedestal may project above a cart or bench, but its base and stand still need a stable, clear location. A floor-format unit can fit under or beside equipment, but aim it so the stream does not create a trip, collision, or process-airflow problem.
